Assessment and Promotion
The school conducts assessment of learning of students as per the guidelines of the Education Department of Karnataka and the curriculum issued at the beginning of every academic year.
I. Assessment for class I to V
The assessment of students of class I to V is based on a term-wise system. There are two terms in a year; promotion to the next Grade is based on their performance in both the terms. Each term has two components – Formative Assessments and Term exam. The Formative Assessments consist of Periodic Test, Subject Enrichment Activity, and Notebook. Assessment is done both on scholastic and co-scholastic areas.
II. Assessment for class VI to VIII
The assessment structure and examination for Classes VI to VIII is based on the norms of Karnataka Education Department. There are two terms in a year; promotion to the next Grade is based on their performance in both the terms. Each term has two components – Formative Assessments and Term exam. The Formative Assessments consist of Periodic Test, Subject Enrichment Activity, and Notebook. Assessment is done both on scholastic and co-scholastic areas.
II!. Assessment for Class IX & X
The assessment structure and examination for Classes IX & X is based on the norms of KSEEB. According to it the Assessment consists of 20 marks for internal and 80 marks for annual written examination. Internal assessments of 20 marks are obtained from 4 Formative Assessments: Each Formative Assessment will have two activities and a written test in each subject. The School also assesses the students in co-scholastic areas.
